Welcome! I want to thank you for your interest in this program for your child. This is an especially important decision since some of the best learning comes during the formative years of three to five.
I would like to present my philosophy of my program. First off, children should have fun! Young children learn best in natural settings that allow them to be active participants. For this reason, I have devised a curriculum with a "hands-on" approach. The goal is to make learning a positive experience! Each week has a certain theme and each theme is based on things that are interesting to the children. The activities are centered on these themes and will incorporate basic skills (letter, number, shape and color recognition; large and small motor skills; etc.) Through these various activities, we encourage each child to explore, create, communicate, interact, question, solve problems, think things out, reason, and socialize. Children tend not to be "taught" in the traditional sense of the word. Rather they can be properly stimulated, guided and encouraged through carefully planned activities that allow them to develop at their own optimum rate.
In these planned activities we work with different mediums such as crayons, paints, clay, play dough, food and more. We also introduce basic math, science, reading and writing skills. These skills are established through different projects such as art, cooking, horticulture, science and more! My goal is to have each child enjoy the process of learning.
This is a non-religious program.
